This month, we’re excited to announce that we have a new service to offer you! Platelet-Rich-Plasma, or PRP, is a procedure which uses your body’s own natural defenses to assist in rejuvenating or improving the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, as well as assist in the improvement of other common ailments and cosmetic concerns, with no downtime.
Here are three things to know about the PRP treatment.
What exactly is the PRP treatment?
The PRP treatment is 100% rooted in science. Platelets are cells in the blood which help the healing process when we injure ourselves by forming blood clots. These treatments were first created more than 20 years ago to address muscle and joint issues. By drawing a small blood sample and using a centrifuge, we can separate platelets and blood plasma from the red blood cells. Once we have the platelets, we can inject the solution into the treatment area, which mimics the injury response in your body to heal and growth the surrounding tissue.
How does the PRP treatment work?
When we inject the platelet serum into the treatment area, the area begins to heal and go through a rejuvenation process, leaving skin looking healthier, smoother, and more youthful. Your body will naturally produce collagen in the area as time progresses, and noticeable results begin appearing in the first six weeks. Results last up to 18 months.
What types of ailments or concerns can the PRP treatment address?
This treatment uses your body’s own natural ingredients to address a number of concerns you may have, including:
+Repair damaged and/or aging skin
+Wrinkle prevention and reduction
+Reduce signs of scarring
+Reduce the appearance of stretch marks
+Slow the speed of hair loss
+Prevent the thinning of hair
We’re excited to be able to offer this new service for our clients. With no downtime and long-lasting results, the PRP treatment may be the right choice for treating your cosmetic concerns. Book your Appointment online or contact us today if you have any questions.
